NEXT PERFORMANCES

INTERSECTION is a collision of epic Greek tragedy, interactive dialogue and city tour of homeless hotspots. It explores the crossroads in life, the moments where your life changes course, described through the intersection between two people - James and Sally - who met one night at a crisis shelter, the intersections in their lives leading to the very point when they meet. How such varied personal histories find themselves located in close proximity - it is an affective combination of self pride, self disclosure and the pursuit of happiness.

"Intersection... performed by actors, homeless people and the Sydney Street Choir walking Surry Hills streets, is a beautiful reminder of the fundamental struggles of human existence, no matter what rags or riches we wear." Gretel Killeen, Sunday Herald, August 29, 2010

"Intersection is an eye-opener... for its honesty and heart. It's not didactic, nor does it ask for your sympathy or support. It simply requires you to observe and perhaps tune-up your compassion and respect a little." Jason Blake, Sydney Morning Herald, August 28, 2010

THURSDAY 26 AUG, FRIDAY 27 AUG, THURSDAY 2 SEPT and FRIDAY 3 SEPT at 7 PM
Starting at Edward Eagar Lodge, 348A Bourke Street, Surry Hills

"It is a show about the twists and turns our lives take. It looks at how we carry our baggage through life, how we negotiate the obstacles and opportunities that arise. Its humanity at its most raw, and most beautiful, and ultimately it is a show about connection - how together we are stronger than if we are alone." Beck Ronkson, Artistic Director

INTERSECTION features a team of professional actors and artists working alongside 30 participants who have experienced homelessness or disadvantage and the Sydney Street Choir as the singing chorus.

"It is about reaching out to people...to send the message that being homeless, and making some terrible decisions in life, doesn't mean that we are not able to find a way out of that past baggage that holds us all down sometimes" John, Participant
